Application and Selection
Engineering 1B students apply in late May/early June. Applications are also welcomed from second-year students reading Chemical Engineering and other related science based tripos who can find out how to apply by emailing:
met-enquiries@eng.cam.ac.uk
All interested students should complete the MET application form if you wish to be considered for the course - this does not tie your hands in any way!
Current MET students who are happy to be contacted for more information are listed by college in this PDF document.
Selection is based on interview, a reference from the Director of Studies, and academic record. The course requires the ability to apply engineering principles in a business context. The qualities sought include enthusiasm and drive, communication skills, organisational ability, leadership potential, team-working and inter-personal skills, ability to work to tight deadlines, and a real interest in manufacturing engineering.
