Assessment and feedback
Assessment is split into two distinct elements:
1a) Modules: Each of the eight modules will be assessed by an independent piece of coursework. This might be a short report (e.g. 3000 words), or a group exercise culminating in a presentation, or a class based test.
1b) Projects: Each of the 4 industry projects will be assessed independently. Students will present their findings to the host company and submit a short executive summary of their conclusions, as well as any supporting evidence. In addition, students will submit an essay which seeks to integrate ideas in the course for a ‘big issue’.
2) Research Thesis: Students also submit a thesis of not more than 15,000 words (including footnotes, appendices, and bibliography).
Distinctions will be awarded to students who achieve over 75% in both elements (Modules+Projects AND Thesis) of the course.
Examination may include, at the discretion of the Examiners, an oral examination on the work submitted by the candidate.
