
Sanyapong graduated from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He also completed an MSc in Management from University College London (UCL) and an MSc in Operational Research from the London School of Economics (LSE), both with Distinction.
During his time at UCL, Sanyapong undertook a consultancy project for a commercial bank where he developed an optimisation model for its ATM cash replenishment process. As part of his degree at the LSE, Sanyapong participated in a project with a renowned housing association in London. To help the Residents Management team in their strategic planning during the regeneration process, he developed stochastic simulation models to estimate the waiting time for potential residents.
Prior to joining the IfM, Sanyapong served on the faculty of Mahidol University, Thailand, as a lecturer in Operations Research. He is also the recipient of the Mahidol University Staff Development Scholarship.
Sanyapong has recently joined DIAL under the supervision of Dr Ajith Parlikad. His current research focuses on the application of optimisation techniques on portfolio asset management.
