
Steve Adams joined the IfM team in September 2016 as RAEng Visiting Professor in Team-based Learning, a position he shares with Dr Sam Beale. In this role they are tasked to develop and implement actions which enhance student’s preparedness to effectively operate within the team-centric environment they are likely to experience in industry. He is also an Independent Consultant specialising in business strategy, process re-engineering and organisation structure definition.
Steve built up his expertise over a 35 year period working at the Ford Motor Company where he held senior and executive level positions primarily across the field of automotive product development (cars, commercial vehicles, engines and transmissions). He has also experienced international service in Germany and the US and has led teams based in the UK, the US, Germany, Turkey, China and Belgium. His primary skills include an ability to lead large cross-functional teams to develop and deliver complex product and business plans that ultimately result in products which achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and positive shareholder value.
