Ruchi Ukhade is a doctoral student at the IfM under the supervision of Dr Thomas Bohné. As part of the Cyber-Human Lab, her research focuses on human-robot interaction, extended reality (XR), and interactive technologies. She is particularly interested in how emerging technologies can augment human capabilities and support more intuitive collaboration between humans and intelligent machines.
Originally from Arizona, USA, Ruchi holds a joint Master's degree in Design Engineering from Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Animation from Arizona State University. Prior to joining Cambridge, she co-founded a FemTech startup developing a non-invasive menstrual sample collection device. She also conducted research at Cornell Tech, Brown University, and Arizona State University, exploring topics in human-computer interaction (HCI), extended reality (XR), and interactive technologies.
