Laurence Cochrane studied Engineering at Pembroke College, Cambridge, graduating in 2018 with First Class Honours with Distinction and specialisations in Electrical and Information Sciences and Instrumentation and Control. For his Master’s project, he designed and build a prototype instrument to perform tensile testing on millimetre-scale samples of biological tissue. He joined the Ultra Precision CDT as an MRes student in the 2018-19 cohort. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the cello and sailing.
