
Dr Georgios Hadjidemetriou received a MEng in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, an MSc, with distinction, in Project and Enterprise Management from University College London (UCL), and a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Cyprus, in collaboration with Georgia Institute of Technology and University of Cambridge.
Dr Hadjidemetriou has worked as a teaching assistant for civil engineering courses and as a researcher for several research projects, during his PhD. He has, to date, authored 2 book chapters and 14 journal and conference publications. He is currently working on the “SAFEWAY project - GIS-based infrastructure management system for optimized response to extreme events on terrestrial transport networks”. His research interests include: transportation engineering, infrastructure management and condition monitoring, infrastructure network risk analysis, predictive maintenance, optimisation, roadway pavement and traffic monitoring, computer vision and machine learning.
