
Current Research
Ahmed joined the Centre for Technology Management research programme as a research student under the supervision of Dr Rob Phaal. His main area of interest is Digital Transformation & Future Shaping. He is currently investigating digital business transformation and how it can be leveraged to lead the industry.
Background
Ahmed has completed his BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Design Engineering from Northumbria University and his MSc in Management from University of Warwick, WMG. During his studies at Warwick, Ahmed gained knowledge and skills in the fields of business excellence and process improvement. His Master’s thesis focused on strategic process improvement within the airline industry and was carried out as a case study with one of the world leading multinational carrier.
Prior to joining the IfM, Ahmed worked with Emirates Airlines in multiple positions starting from a flight simulator engineer and moving to designing the enterprise process architecture within the commercial division.
Ahmed is currently funded by the Ministry of Education in the UAE on a scientific excellence scholarship.
